One of a limited number of hand embroidered cloth covered journals made with repurposed polyester shawls found at the Bengal-Goa Folk Mela many moons ago.
Despite the false advertisement that these items were made of silk, I couldn't help but fall in love with the artisans' pride & enthusiam for their craft. Not one to normally invest in polyester, I came away with several pieces none the less purchased purely out of an appreciation for the intricasy and labour intensiveness of their stitches. And yet, as I knew I would not wear such an unbreathable material on my body, they sat for ages on a shelf.
Years later, it's a joy to see them find their rightful home in a limited edition collection of beautifully embroidered books. Wonderfully textured & brightly coloured, this notebook is a true show stopper.
Can be made in A5 or A4 sizes and available only as long as supplies lasts.
